The vines have survived the freezing events of this spring and loving the replenished soil moisture. Depending on when you are here the grapes are pushing their leaves and the shoots are growing into the trellis system.  Soon…probably around June 10th the cabernet vines will begin to flower and then start developing the grape clusters.  Veraison will be later than normal this year due to the late freezes.

But when the grape berries begin to turn from green to deep purple you will get a sense of the size of the crop and quality.  Harvest will be in late September again due to the late freezes.  Stay in touch and visit the winery often to see the development.
